CDCLA is a not-for-profit social benefit corporation which provides child care and early childhood education throughout greater Los Angeles County. Dedicated to supporting the developmental growth of young children, our mission is to:

Offer quality child development services at a reasonable price to parents;
To increase the professionalism of those who work in the Child Development field;
To work with professionals in other fields to increase the level of understanding and support for quality child care and education programs.

CDCLA opened its 8th child care center on August 1, 2012. The Donald R. Carrington Children's Center is licensed for 60 preschool-age children. It is located on the campus of the Washington School in Hawthorne.

CDCLA is in the third and final year of our Capacity Building Grant from First 5 LA. Our Early Educator Leadership Capacity Building Project provides much needed opportunities for training and professional development for our child development center staff.

CDCLA currently has 4 accredited centers.

If you buy groceries, then you can contribute to CDCLA just by swiping your rewards card when you check out at your local Ralph's store.
