Making a Difference in the Lives of Children and their Families

The Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles (CDCLA) was created by early childhood educators and established as a nonprofit corporation in 1978.

We provide direct child care and development services, consulting services to corporations and other child development programs, and parent education. We are funded by parent fees, in-kind services from the County and CalTrans, and grants from the California Department of Education.

Currently, CDCLA operates 7 child care centers throughout the greater Los Angeles area and we work with a network of family child care providers.

Our Mission

The mission of the Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles is to provide quality child care programs to children regardless of socioeconomic status through contracts with employers and government agencies; to provide consulting services to corporations and agencies interested in child development issues; to strengthen families through provision of parent support services; and to promote professionalism in the child development field.
