Area Served

We provide child care and development services throughout greater Los Angeles County.  Our six child care centers are located in Downtown Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, South Los Angeles, Lomita and the San Fernando Valley.

Our Services
CDCLA operates the employer-sponsored child care centers at the LAC+USC Medical Center, the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and at the CalTrans building in downtown Los Angeles. These programs serve approximately 150 children each day. CDCLA also provides child care services for 250 children from low-income working families through funding from the California Department of Education in child care centers and a network of family child care homes.

  • Infants - 6 weeks to 1.5 years of age
  • Toddlers - 1.5 to 2.5 years of age
  • Preschool - 2.5 to 5 years of age

Early Learning:

CDCLA uses the High/Scope Curriculum at each of our Child Development Centers. Our programs are developmentally appropriate and the staff is highly qualified. Children are allowed to develop at their own rate and are encouraged to make choices.

  • We have a balance of indoor and outdoor activities each day.
  • All children are encouraged to participate in all activities.
  • We have a balance of teacher-initiated and child-initiated activities.
Our programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
